Job Description: 

Manager, Demand Planning


The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with inventory and item master management. Creates and maintains forecast models for all MSOs system-wide (material service organization/supply chain operations), incorporates business intelligence and forecast information gathered from MMIS and EMR systems (Lawson & EPIC), and provides optimal replenishment (PAR) optimization reports to supply chain management.


Must be able to manage multiple ad-hoc requests, shifting priorities and duties as assigned.  Manage, train and mentor Supply Chain Concierge (Help Desk) staff members on day-to-day tasks.  Develop KPIs to monitor staff performance and identify areas of improvement.  Work cross-functionally with AP, Purchasing, Contracting, MSO, MMIS and Supply Chain Analytics teams. 


Job Qualifications: 


BA/BS degree in Health Information Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience required. A Master degree in Statistics, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration and/or related field preferred.



Minimum of five years of relevant experience in advanced data collection and analysis, including experience in supply chain, distribution, warehouse or logistics sectors. 


Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting, forecasting methods with an understanding of financial and operational metrics.

Advanced/expert using Excel, MS Access and/or other desktop database tools

Skilled in the use of VBA in report generation, standardization, and automation

Experienced with SQL and implement SQL server solutions to support data mining is a plus

Demonstrated experience with developing business intelligence tools to support executive and management decision-making

Effective communicator capable of translating concepts or data outcomes into common business language

Solid writer capable to develop process and assessment documents to clearly articulate the message

Extensive knowledge regarding data modeling, manipulation and management

Ability to manage large volumes of non-standard data

Extensive experience with developing statistical modeling and dynamic PAR management methodologies

Through understanding of ABC inventory planning and EOQ models
